Nio – Fitness Band Using ethnographic research and behavioral patterns, we came up with a simple, clean and iconic fitness band that communicated seamlessly with the user. NIO needed help to come up with ideas for their line of wearables. Artifact Design conceptualized various ideas and visualized how the ecosystem around these products could be developed. Understanding the form and function was not enough with these products as there was an underlying adoption sequence that a user had to go through. We analyzed and simplified the entire process to make it seamless. The leadership team and the product management team at NIO were extremely happy with the ideas we put forth for their internal teams to take forward. Our experience with product material as well as technical applications ensured that this wearable technology product was well received across the board. Our extensive ideation as well as engineering helped their overseas manufacturing teams to come up with viable prototypes to speed up the product development process.
